SO I COME HERE TONIGHT TO PUBLICLY STATE ONE MORE TIME.
MANY OF US HOPE WE CAN STILL INFLUENCE THIS DEVELOPER AND THIS ILL CONCEIVED CONCEPT PLAN.
WE'VE STATED TIME AND TIME AGAIN WE WISH NO ADVERSE RELATIONSHIP WITH ANYONE.

BUT I WILL TELL YOU, IT IS NOT NICE FOR ANNA TO HAVE 2040 60 FOOT LOTS CRAMMED INTO AN AREA THAT IS BEAUTIFUL AND COULD BE A GEM.
MR. COFFIN ALSO SAID WE'RE FLEXIBLE BASED ON MARKET CONDITIONS.

WE'VE ASKED THE DEVELOPER TO LOOK AT MARKET CONDITIONS.COPELAND HOMES WITHIN 2 OR 3 MILES OF MY HOME.
ONE ACRE LOTS ARE LISTED AT 309,000.
THERE IS NO REASON THIS DEVELOPER IS GOING TO LOSE MONEY IF HE BUILDS UPSCALE HOMES ON LARGE LOTS AND ACREAGE, OVERLOOKING THAT GOLF COURSE AND OVERLOOKING MRS. YOUR TIME IS UP. I PUT THIS IN THE WIND AND I THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

THE MAYOR IS POSTING YOUTUBE VIDEOS, ONE MINUTE VIDEOS, JUST A BRIEF RECAP OF EVERYTHING THAT WENT ON AT CITY COUNCIL THAT PREVIOUS EVENING.
SO IF YOU'RE REALLY INTERESTED IN ALL OF THE THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON WITH COUNCIL, I URGE YOU TO JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE MAYOR'S MINUTE BACK IN ON AUGUST 13TH.
THE LIBERTY HILLS ZONING WAS APPROVED BY COUNCIL 6 TO 1.

I'M SORRY. THE APPLICANT WANTED TO MAKE CHANGES TO THAT DEVELOPMENT, AND SO THEY WITHDREW THEIR APPLICATION AND THAT WITHDRAWAL WAS APPROVED THAT EVENING, 7 TO 0 AT THE AUGUST 27TH MEETING.
THE APPLICANT WAS SEEKING A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE WOODS AT LINDSAY PLACE.
AND THAT AMENDMENT WAS TO DECREASE THE AMOUNT OR THE PERCENTAGE OF MASONRY ON SOME OF THE HOMES.
AND THAT REQUEST WAS DENIED BY COUNCIL 7 TO 0.
JUST A QUICK UPDATE ABOUT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AS YOU ALL RECALL.
COUNCIL HELD A SPECIAL MEETING OVER THE SUMMER REGARDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE.
FROM THAT MEETING, STAFF WENT FORWARD AND STARTED TALKING TO KIMLEY-HORN, WHICH IS THE CONSULTANT WHO DEVELOPED OR CREATED THE LEAD, I SHOULD SAY LED THE COMP PLAN, THE ORIGINAL COMP PLAN UPDATE.
SO WE RECEIVED A PRICE QUOTE FROM KIMLEY-HORN TO ALSO DO THIS UPDATE.
AND LAST NIGHT COUNCIL HELD A SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS THE UPCOMING YEAR'S BUDGET.
BUT AT THAT MEETING, THEY ALSO DISCUSSED THE PROCESS FOR THE COMP PLAN UPDATE, SPECIFICALLY WHETHER THERE WOULD BE ANOTHER ADVISORY COMMITTEE CREATED TO HELP OVERSEE THAT UPDATE.
COUNCIL ULTIMATELY DECIDED THAT THEY WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH CREATING A NEW ADVISORY COMMITTEE, BUT INSTEAD WOULD CHARGE THE P AND Z AS WELL AS THE COUNCIL TO ACT IN THAT CAPACITY.
YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH COUNCIL ON OVERSEEING THAT UPDATE.
SO WE ACTUALLY SPOKE WITH THE KIMLEY-HORN REPRESENTATIVES TODAY.
AND WHAT WE'RE PROPOSING IS THAT COMBINED MEETINGS WILL OCCUR BETWEEN COUNCIL AND PUBLIC IN PNC.
MOST LIKELY THEY'LL BE HELD ON THE DATES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING.
SO I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WILL BE BEFORE COUNCIL.
THE COUNCIL MEETING OR AFTER THE COUNCIL MEETING IS OVER.
WE HAVEN'T DECIDED. WE HAVEN'T DISCUSSED THAT YET.

AND SO ONCE WE KNOW MORE, WE WILL BE PRESENTING THAT TO BOTH YOU AND COUNCIL.
WE'RE LOOKING TO KICK OFF THE PROCESS WITH KIMLEY-HORN AND A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
I SHOULD STEP BACK, BUT THIS IS GOING THE COST ESTIMATE IS GOING TO BE GOING IS GOING TO COUNCIL ON THE 10TH.
FOR APPROVAL. AND THEN AFTER THAT WE WILL SCHEDULE THE KICKOFF WITH STAFF.

WE ANTICIPATE THIS BEING AN EIGHT MONTH PROCESS.
AND AGAIN, JUST AS A REMINDER, THIS UPDATE WILL ONLY FOCUS ON THE LAND USE PORTION OF THE COMP PLAN.
BUT THIS COMP PLAN UPDATE WILL ONLY FOCUS ON LAND USE, SO IT WILL BE LIMITED.
